Every day VOLA receives many hundreds of emails. However,
senders of emails are not always as thoughtful as they
should be, and there are many common faults in using
emails.
For example:
-
Many senders ask for information and advice (such as a
request for a course Prospectus) but fail to state their
name or email address .
-
VOLA receives many emails from people who say that they
have already been in contact with VOLA, BUT those
people, applicants or students, forget to state either a
reference number or details of their previous email, so
previous communications are often untraceable.
-
many applicants send emails in the form of attachments,
which because of security and concerns over virus alerts
cannot and will not be opened by VOLA.
Therefore, four important tips when sending an email are:
-
Always state your full name and address in emails to
VOLA.
-
Always state a reference if one has been given by VOLA
in earlier emails or other communications.
-
Try to reply to emails by using the reply to sender
button - that way the person receiving the email can see
not only your reply, but also a record of all earlier
emails sent.
-
Always try to avoid sending messages with viruses .
please send your email message in plain text format; do
not use scripts like Java as they will not be opened.
